Bienvenidos!
A la primera página bilingüe dedicada a la cultura y los sabores tradicionales de la comida Colombiana.
Here you will find a guide to our colourful and traditional cuisine… What is Colombian Food? Colombian food is not spicy hot, but is still full of flavour. We have a huge variety of fruit and other natural products, and this has combined over the years with influences of other cultures making for an exciting fusion of different tastes.
Nohora Smith
My name is Nohora Smith and I was born and brought up in Bogotá, Colombia.
When I moved to the UK with my English husband in 2003, my biggest dilemma, apart from being away from my family of course, was how to recreate the food of my home country without access to ingredients readily available in Colombian food shops.
After some experimentation, perseverance and trawling around shops here in south east England, I have come up with ideas and recipes that the Colombians and anyone here in the UK can enjoy using locally sourced produce. Through my website I hope that I can bring a little bit of Colombia flavour to these shores.
As well as food, through my website I’d like to convey a little of what it’s like to be a Colombian in Britain, and through my English and other European friends, explain something about Colombia and its charms.
